Anchors Away

Posted for towing
best -
to keep things going.

Take it in
let it swim.

Wade through traps,
opening
and closing.

Knocks
over a corpse
finds its head glowing -

Comes awake.
Testy with torments,
the give and take.

Lavish lies
where innocence fled.

Truth flashing
in fugitive minds -

Cruel wealth
of scale,
murderous detail.

Weeps that exult
of sweet tumult.

Angling abstractions
as traction
as bait -

Breathless plies
hidden in breed

acknowledges beauty
performs a need.

Awakens
to remains of day

to weather it out
and anchors away.
