reading bloodstones

for contradictions immutable.

Crash and condom insolute

fingers at my neck

teetering & inscrutable.

Magic & fire locking horns

paint this body

an unyielding color of salmon

diving pink into the red.

Spawning eggs

on banks of gravel

scandalously high!

as a mountain of death.

Love is weather

love is the sea

tide in, tide out

chasing currents

for odds, insurgent?

restive as the sky.

Riven to a cross

that leaps and stalks!

paradoxically loath and sly.

Swaged in along

the whispering edge

sheer & taunt

catchwork rent & nigh.

Fatal rush!

fatty red flesh

tilt of jaw

& hook in eye.
